Press ReleasesEB Joins Forces with Major Chinese Muaythai Brand

Elite Boxing has joined forces with I-1 of Hong Kong in a strategic partnership that will see I-1 events streamed live on EB-TV as well as EB and I1 exchanging fighters for their events.

Based in Hong Kong, I-1 is regarded as one of the leading combat sports brands in China with a reputation for producing premium quality Muay Thai events in the format of 4-man knockout tournaments. Despite showcasing the best Chinese talent, I1 event fightcards also have an international flavor through the integration of international fighters such as Mostafa Abdolahi, Valdet Gashi and Antoine Pinto.

More than 20 I-1 events have been staged since the brand was launched in 2005 by Hong Kong Muay Thai legend Kim IP. Having lived and trained in Thailand at the Sor Vorapin Gym almost 20 years ago, Kim is a veteran of the combat sports circuit and also runs a successful gym in Hong Kong.

The partnership between EB and I-1 will be officially launched on 28 April when the first I-1 event is streamed live on EB-TV. In addition to the live streaming of events, the partnership will also include fighter exchanges. The first of these exchanges will also take place at the event on 28 April when EB provides Vahid Shabazi for the event fightcard.
