Press ReleasesElite Boxing set to roll out new online video platform

After more than a year of development, Bangkok-based Elite Boxing has now launched its eagerly-anticipated online video platform for combat sports enthusiasts. Featuring a huge video-on-demand (VoD) library as well as free videos and photograph albums, will also host live pay-per-view (PPV) events starting later this year.

To ensure that the platform features the very latest cutting edge video player technology, the site has been jointly developed with KIT Digital—one of the largest video software companies in the world with an impressive list of clients that includes Google, National Geographic, the Associated Press, and the US Department of Defense.

In addition to providing news and statistics about fights, fighters, promoters and events, the platform also features an extensive library of EB events available to view on demand. The library includes events produced by Elite Boxing as well as content from events produced by Elite Boxing’s affiliate partners around the world. In addition to a free video channel, each affiliate co-promoter who works with EB will have their own dedicated channel.

One of the main features of the platform will be the pay-per-view function that will allow EB to stream all of its events live to its fans across the globe. The first PPV event is scheduled to be Thailand VS Germany on September 15 in Heidenheim, Germany.

With the huge marketing value that EB already enjoys from its live events—estimated at $1 million per event—the new platform is predicted to be a huge success.
