Acquired in late 2013 after two years of ongoing negotiations, Evolution is a live event series and one of the main brands in the Elite Boxing portfolio.
Launched in Australia in 2000, Evolution quickly established itself as the number one muaythai brand in the Australian market. Over a period of ten years, a total of 26 successful events attracted national television audiences and sell-out crowds of up to 6,000 fans. Evolution was also responsible for launching the careers of Australia’s muaythai superstars like John Wayne Parr and Bruce MacPhee, further cementing the brand’s name in Australian muaythai folklore.
Keen to enter the Australian market and also realizing the brand’s global potential, EB acquired Evolution in 2013 with the aim of making it a fully international brand. Under EB, Evolution will first be re-launched at events scheduled outside Australia before the brand will return to the Australian market in 2015.
